Chris Bedia leaves Union Berlin Chris Bedia is officially leaving 1. FC Union Berlin to join UAE club Al Nasr SC. The 30-year-old Ivorian arrived from Servette Geneva in 2024 for a €2 million fee but failed to establish himself in Köpenick. Last season, Union finished 11th in the Bundesliga with 39 points (10 wins, 9 draws, 15 losses). ## Why the transfer? Bedia spent the last 18 months on loan at BSC Young Boys, but the Swiss club declined the purchase option. "I’m grateful for my time at Union, even though it was short," said Bedia. After two loan spells, he now seeks a permanent position. ## What does this mean for Union? With Bedia’s departure, Union loses a player who rarely featured in the 2025/26 season. The team ended with 44 goals scored and 58 conceded (-14), finishing 50 points behind champions Bayern Munich. ## What’s next? Union Berlin begins preseason preparations, while Bedia takes on a new challenge in the UAE Pro League.
