Union Berlin has been without co-coach Babak Keyhanfar since December 2024, but he has now found a new job at FC Bayern. The 41-year-old will manage the U23 team under new head coach Dante. Keyhanfar played football until 2019 and made it to the Oberliga. During his active career, he also started his coaching career. He worked his way through SV Gonsenheim and the U19 of Mainz 05 before moving to Austria in 2020 to join Red Bull's farm team FC Liefering. Keyhanfar worked alongside Bo Svensson at Union Berlin and was released in December 2024. Since then, he has been without a job. FC Bayern has found a new coach for the U23 team and Keyhanfar will be part of the team. The second team of FC Bayern plays in the Regionalliga and Keyhanfar will work under Dante. Dante is an old acquaintance in Munich and played 133 competitive games for FC Bayern from 2012 to 2015. The Brazilian has the coaching license and the necessary Uefa Pro license and will take over the head coach role in the future. With Keyhanfar, he gets an experienced co-coach by his side. The Bayern amateurs are currently in mid-table with 44 points after 33 games and Keyhanfar will try to improve the team. Keyhanfar's move to FC Bayern is an important step in his career and he will be part of a new team. The team is looking to improve and Keyhanfar will play a key role in this process. Keyhanfar's experience will be valuable to the team and he will work closely with Dante to achieve their goals.
