Union Berlin has signed 21-year-old defender Jella Veit. The Hamburg native joins from Bundesliga rival Eintracht Frankfurt. Veit joined the Frankfurt team in 2023 and has since played 30 games in the top league. In 2022, she was awarded the Fritz-Walter Medal in gold as the best young player, and in March this year, she made her debut for the German national team: She was substituted in the 69th minute in the World Cup qualifying match against Norway. The 21-year-old will now be part of Union Berlin's women's Bundesliga team.
