The Union has fallen to its lowest rating in over four years in the ARD-Deutschlandtrend. In the latest survey, CDU/CSU scored only 23 percent. This was one percentage point less than in the "Deutschlandtrend" from early May – and the worst rating since January 2022. With the work of the CDU-led federal government, only 12 percent were satisfied. The AfD remains unchanged at 27 percent in first place. The SPD improved slightly to 13 percent (plus one point). The Greens came to 14 percent (minus one), the Left remained at 10 percent. The BSW remained at three percent and the FDP also unchanged at four percent. The "Brandmauer", or the Union's promise not to work with the AfD, is seen as not right by almost half of Germans. The AfD remains top with a clear lead.
